The Do's and Don'ts of Fishing

Aah…the pleasure of fishing as the sun glints in the water and the birds glide by is incomparable. But no matter how satisfying this activity is, you obviously have to follow some basic rules of this trade to enjoy yourself and let other do it as well.

Do's
  • Choose a appropriate spot
Choose a proper place that has been indicated by the park and which is for your convenience as well. Take care to avoid such as trees, vegetation and obstacles.

  • Remove the Rig
If your rig gets caught up on the vegetation or anything else, don’t forget to recover it instantly. If you cannot do this the safest way, call the park ranger or fishery owner or other skilled persons.

  • Look for animals
Be careful about other animals like birds too. They can easily tangle with your equipments and hurt themselves and destroy your goodies. If it happens, provide first aid immediately and contact authorized persons immediately.

  • Always be aware of the signs
There can be various signs and sign posts on the fishery, so always notice them and act accordingly.

  • Clear up the litter
Always clear up the wastes and litter from the water as well as your surrounding whenever you’re fishing. It may harm the wildlife and you too.

  • Respect other fishers
Try not to become an obstacle to others. And it is not needed to explain any further, I guess.

Don’ts

  • Don’ Litter
I know it’s already discussed, but it’s that important. Don’t leave any of your belongings at your fishing spot. Carry your litter along with you and safely dispose it away.

  • Never Leave the rods
Never leave your rods unattended on the bank. It increases the chances of animals entangling with the fishing lines and other equipments and destroying them. The bait can also become an easy prey for animals. So always make sure of safe keeping your rods when not using them.

  •  Don’t Remove your reels and fishing lines in the presence of other animals

Never attempt so. Always check the surrounding before retracting your fishing lines, rods and reels and baits before you hastily collect them. Contact with animals can easily cause injury to them and loss of the equipment.

The above dos and don’ts have to listed to address the most common mistakes made by people during fishing. So you must be well aware of all these dos and don’ts so that you don’t hamper anyone but enjoy it more securely.
